The Cheerful Japan! initiative was created as a charitable project following the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, using Miku's image to raise funds for relief efforts in northeastern Japan. This figma was made to order with delivery in late November 2011, with purchases limited to five figures per person. Payment was required via credit card or PayPal at the time of order rather than shipment, as donations were processed before products were delivered.
