Hifumi is a character designer at Eagle Jump, the game development studio where New Game!! takes place. She is known for her shy and socially anxious personality, often struggling with face-to-face communication despite being highly skilled at her job. She keeps a pet hedgehog named Sojiro, which serves as a beloved companion and comfort in her daily life. Over the course of the series, she gradually works on overcoming her timidity, especially as she takes on more leadership responsibilities within the team.
