From Good Smile Company comes this 1/7 scale figure of Kawamoto Akari from the acclaimed anime and manga series Sangatsu no Lion (March Comes in Like a Lion). Akari is the eldest of three sisters who take in the young professional shogi player Rei Kiriyama, offering him warmth and stability amid his struggles with loneliness and depression. Created by Chica Umino, the series explores Rei's journey through the competitive shogi world and his gradual healing through the Kawamoto family's kindness. This figure captures Akari posed as if gently chatting with Rei on the way home from shopping, reflecting her nurturing personality. The sculptwork was carefully supervised by Umino herself, with particular attention given to the cable knitting of her sweater, rendered in detailed 3D sculptwork for a remarkably realistic appearance. Standing at approximately 220mm in height, the figure is made from ABS and PVC and includes a stand. It was sculpted by Jarel and Sakura, with paint and sculpt work tuned to faithfully capture the series' atmosphere.
