MegaHouse commemorates the 25th anniversary of the Persona series with a special Anniversary Edition of Thanatos from Persona 3 as part of their Game Characters Collection DX line. This figure captures the main character's Persona in a dramatic pose, immediately after slashing forward with its sword. In Persona 3, Thanatos represents the ultimate Persona of the protagonist, embodying the theme of death that permeates the game's narrative. Known as the God of Death, Thanatos features countless coffins on its back and is surrounded by swirling effect parts that emphasize its ominous presence. The figure was supervised by Shigenori Soejima, the art director for the Persona series, ensuring faithful reproduction of the character's haunting design. The Anniversary Edition features the same paintwork on Thanatos itself, but the base includes special gradient paintwork to distinguish it from the original release. Standing approximately 300mm tall to the tip of its sword, this pre-painted ABS and PVC figure was sculpted by Pinpoint and Andou Kenji. It was released in November 2022.
