Max Factory released figma #268 featuring Sonoda Umi from Love Live! School Idol Project. Standing approximately 135mm tall and made from ABS and PVC, this articulated figure captures one of the nine members of the school idol group μ's. Umi Sonoda is a disciplined and hardworking second-year student at Otonokizaka Academy who serves as the group's physical trainer and lyricist. Initially shy and reluctant to perform as an idol, Umi was recruited by her childhood friend Honoka Kosaka to help save their school from closure by attracting new students through idol activities. Known for her traditional Japanese upbringing and archery skills, Umi's serious nature often makes her the voice of reason among the more eccentric members of μ's. Her dedication to self-improvement and occasional tendency to push herself too hard endear her to fans. Sculpted by Yamaoka Jun and Asai (APSY) Masaki, the figma was released in January 2016 at a price of 5,370 JPY. The figure includes interchangeable face plates and hand parts to recreate various poses from the series' performances and everyday scenes.
