Shiro originally served as Momotaro's loyal companion in Japanese folklore, but after Momotaro was defeated by the oni of Hell, Shiro was hired by Hoozuki to work in Animal Hell. There, he helps punish deceased souls who abused animals during their lives. Despite his adorable appearance as a small, fluffy white dog resembling a Japanese Spitz, Shiro is fiercely devoted to his punishing duties and enthusiastically attacks the damned. He wears a distinctive red and white corded rope around his neck and is known for his childlike excitement and tendency to accidentally blurt out rude remarks.
