Max Factory released Bondrewd as figma #517-DX in his Ascending to the Morning Star Gangway version, based on the film Gekijouban Made in Abyss: Fukaki Tamashii no Reimei. Sculpted by Maouji, this deluxe release captures one of anime's most complex and unsettling antagonists in stunning detail. Bondrewd, known as the Lord of Dawn, is a White Whistle delver who oversees the Idofront outpost at the fifth layer of the Abyss. A brilliant scientist consumed by the desire to understand the Abyss, he conducts horrific experiments on children, including Nanachi and Mitty, using them as test subjects in his pursuit of overcoming the Curse of the Abyss. Despite his monstrous actions, Bondrewd maintains a calm, paternal demeanor, genuinely caring for those he uses, making him a deeply unsettling figure whose scientific curiosity knows no ethical bounds. Standing approximately 150mm tall, the figma is constructed from ABS, PVC, and features LED elements.
