Yowamushi Pedal Grande Road continues the story of competitive high school cycling, following the Inter High tournament's second day. Toudou Jinpachi is the sprinter and captain of Hakone Academy's cycling club, known for his flamboyant personality and his self-proclaimed title as the "Mountain God." His rivalry with Sohoku's Makishima Yusuke in mountain climbing races is one of the series' most memorable dynamics.
