The Ultra Big Sofubi line is a soft vinyl figure series similar to Bandai's mail-away Super Huge Figure series, with each figure in the lineup standing around 23 cm tall. Ultraman is the iconic titular hero of the Ultraman franchise, a superhero from the Land of Light in Nebula M78 who merges with a human host to protect Earth from giant monsters and alien threats. Since his debut in 1966, Ultraman has become one of the most recognizable characters in Japanese tokusatsu and pop culture, spawning dozens of sequels and spin-offs featuring different Ultra warriors. The Ultra Big Sofubi line features soft vinyl figures with a substantial presence at 23 cm, making them larger than standard Ultra Hero Series releases. The Asia and Korea releases of these figures were packaged in windowed boxes.
