Digism, under the DIGSTA brand, presents Ayukawa Sakana-shin (Gyoshin Ayukawa) from the classic fishing manga and anime Tsurikichi Sanpei. This figure stands approximately 170mm tall and is crafted from ABS and PVC. Tsurikichi Sanpei, created by the late Takao Yaguchi, debuted in Weekly Magazine in 1973 and ran for a decade, compiled into 67 volumes. The series follows the young protagonist Sanpei Mihira, a boy with an extraordinary passion for fishing and remarkable skills honed under his grandfather's influence. Ayukawa, known as the fishing gentleman Gyoshin, serves as a mentor figure who cares for Sanpei like a strict father or older brother throughout his journey. The series is celebrated as a landmark nature-themed manga, with Yaguchi drawing from his own fishing experiences to create educational and substantial content that had a lasting impact on the manga industry. Digism utilizes unique digital printing technology to meticulously recreate fine details like fish scales, achieving exceptional realism. This figure stands at 170mm and was released in December 2023 as part of a four-figure set.
