Good Smile Company adds Touya Akira to the Nendoroid lineup with figure number 2165, based on the classic anime and manga series Hikaru no Go. This release allows fans to pair Akira with the previously released Nendoroid of Hikaru Shindo. Hikaru no Go follows the story of Hikaru Shindo, a young boy who discovers a haunted Go board inhabited by the spirit of the ancient Go player Sai, and his rival Touya Akira, a prodigy who has dedicated his life to mastering the game of Go. Akira is known as a genius who works harder than anyone else, and his intense rivalry with Hikaru drives much of the series' emotional core as both characters push each other to reach new heights in the world of competitive Go. The figure stands approximately 100mm tall and is sculpted by Nendoron and Toytec DTC. Made from plastic, it retailed for 12,707 JPY.
