This DX version of Ika Musume is part of Wave's Beach Queens figure line, depicting the titular character from the comedy anime Shinryaku! Ika Musume at 1/10 scale. Ika Musume arrives from the sea with grand plans to invade humanity as punishment for polluting the oceans, but her invasion quickly goes awry after she damages the Lemon Beach House and is forced to work as a waitress to pay off the repairs. Despite her menacing intentions, she is profoundly naive about surface life, possesses a deep love of shrimp, and harbors an irrational fear of sharks and killer whales—even inflatable ones. Her ten controllable tentacles, which protrude from her head like hair, and her quirky speech pattern ending sentences with "de geso" make her instantly recognizable. The figure stands approximately 145mm tall and is crafted from ABS and PVC materials. It was sculpted by Hokusoh and originally retailed for 4,400 JPY. The DX version includes additional accessories compared to the standard release.
