Max Factory's figma line brings the Tsugumori from Knights of Sidonia to collectors as figure number 254. This release captures the iconic mecha from the science fiction series in a fully articulated, poseable format. Knights of Sidonia (Shidonia no Kishi) is a manga and anime series set in a distant future where humanity survives aboard massive seed ships after Earth was destroyed by alien beings called Gauna. The Tsugumori is a guardian mecha, a type of pilot-operated weapon used to defend the ship from Gauna attacks. It is notably piloted by the series protagonist Nagate Tanikaze, who becomes one of Sidonia's most skilled defenders despite his upbringing in isolation. The mecha's distinctive design blends utilitarian military aesthetics with organic, flowing lines. The figure stands approximately 155mm tall and is constructed from ABS and PVC. It was sculpted by Yagyuu Keita and Asai (APSY) Masaki, and originally priced at 8,333 JPY. The figma articulation allows for dynamic posing that recreates the mecha's in-flight and combat maneuvers.
