Pokémon Legends: Arceus takes players to the ancient Hisui region, the setting that would eventually become the Sinnoh region. Hisuian Zorua and its evolution Hisuian Zoroark are Ghost- and Normal-type regional variants unique to this era. Unlike their Unova counterparts, these Hisuian forms feature pale gray-white fur with fiery red accents, their appearance tied to vengeful spirits that emerged from harsh conditions. Hisuian Zoroark in particular is known for its illusion abilities and its role as a protector figure, with a tragic yet poignant backstory connected to the persecution of Zorua in ancient Hisui.
