Aniplex presents a figure of Houjou Tokiyuki from the manga and anime series Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi, also known as The Elusive Samurai. The figure stands approximately 130mm tall and is made from ABS and PVC, sculpted by Shimoda Yudai and Matsumoto Yasutake. The Elusive Samurai is a historical action manga written and illustrated by Yusei Matsui, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump beginning in January 2021. Set in 1333, the story follows Houjou Tokiyuki, a young heir to the Hojo clan who must flee when his family is slaughtered in a political coup. Rather than fighting head-on, Tokiyuki's defining trait is his exceptional skill at running away and evading capture, making him an unconventional protagonist in a samurai story. He gathers loyal companions including Nezu Kojiro, Mochizuki Ayako, and others as he works to reclaim his clan's honor and survive in a turbulent era of Japanese history. The figure captures Tokiyuki's youthful appearance and the historical setting of the series.
