Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, is Naruto's father and one of the most legendary ninja in Konoha's history. When the Nine-Tailed Fox Kurama attacked the village, Minato sacrificed his life by splitting the fox's chakra and sealing half within himself and half within his newborn son, Naruto. This act of sacrifice set the entire series in motion. Minato's legacy as a brilliant and beloved leader endures, and he is later reanimated during the Fourth Shinobi World War to fight alongside the Allied Shinobi Forces, where he encounters his grown son for the first time.
