Good Smile Company presents Nendoroid #103 featuring Kochiya Sanae from the Touhou Project series. This non-scale articulated figure stands approximately 100mm tall and is made from ABS and PVC. Touhou Project is a beloved series of bullet hell shooter games created by the solo developer ZUN under the circle name Team Shanghai Alice. Kochiya Sanae serves as the shrine maiden of the Moriya Shrine, which was transported from the outside world into the land of Gensokyo alongside the goddess Kanako. Unlike the series' primary protagonist Reimu Hakurei, Sanae brings a modern, enthusiastic energy to her role as a shrine maiden, often approaching supernatural incidents with a mix of genuine faith and childlike excitement. Her dual identity as both a shrine maiden and a girl with knowledge of the modern outside world creates interesting dynamics within Gensokyo's enclosed society. Sculpted by Yaruo (LAUGH) with cooperation from Nendoron, this figure was released in August 2011 with a retail price of 3,143 JPY. It was sold at animate stores throughout Japan and through animate mail order.
