Bandai's Metal Build line presents the MBF-P02 Gundam Astray Red Frame from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Astray at 1/100 scale. Standing approximately 180mm tall, this figure incorporates ABS, die cast, and PVC materials for a premium build. It retails for 18,000 JPY with product code 4549660035718. The Red Frame is one of five identical prototype mobile suits developed by Orb using stolen data from the Earth Alliance's G Project. Piloted by Junk Guild member Lowe Guele, it was designed to be operable by Naturals and equipped with an incomplete Natural-use OS. Unlike the G Project suits, the Astrays lacked Phase Shift armor, instead using lightweight foaming metal armor. This trade-off in defensive capability was offset by superior maneuverability, a design philosophy later inherited by Orb's mass production suits. The Red Frame's most distinctive armament is the Gerbera Straight katana acquired by Lowe, which required OS modifications to wield effectively. The Metal Build treatment delivers diecast-infused heft and premium detailing.
