Kaiyodo's Mega Sofvi line presents the AV-98 Ingram Unit 3 from Kidou Keisatsu Patlabor 2 The Movie in its Reactive Armor Equipment version. At 570mm tall, this figure is a substantial representation of one of anime's most iconic police labors. The AV-98 Ingram was developed by Shinohara Heavy Industries as a purpose-built police labor, a significant departure from early patlabors that were simply repainted construction machines. Designed from the ground up for special police operations, the Ingram featured high-output motors and actuators capable of restraining and even lifting other labors. Its precision control system allowed pilots to directly manipulate the machine's humanoid fingers, enabling delicate operations no other labor could perform. The Ingram was extremely advanced at its 1998 rollout and remained in frontline service until the early 2000s, eventually succeeded by the AV-02 Valiant.
