This figure captures the iconic Shinsengumi vice-commander in a detailed sculpt that reflects his historical and fictional legacy. Hijikata Toshizou is the title character of Hakuouki, a name given to him by the demon Kazama at the end of his route. He serves as a main protagonist and is Chizuru's implied canon love interest. As Vice-Commander—and later sole Commander—of the Shinsengumi, Hijikata is known for his brusque, informal manner of speaking and his careful, rational decision-making that serves as a foil to Kondou's more impulsive style. Despite claiming he will do whatever is necessary for the Shinsengumi, he possesses a strong moral compass and often factors personal conviction into his professional choices.
