Good Smile Arts Shanghai, in collaboration with Good Smile Company and Orange Rouge, presents Genjo Sanzo from Saiyuki Reload -Zeroin- as Nendoroid number 2086. Saiyuki is a reimagining of the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West, following the monk Genjo Sanzo and his three demon companions—Son Goku, Sha Gojyo, and Cho Hakkai—as they travel west to stop the resurrection of the demon king Gyumaoh. Sanzo is known for his stoic, no-nonsense demeanor, his trademark cigarette, and his willingness to use a firearm despite being a Buddhist monk, making him a unique and memorable protagonist. The figure stands approximately 100mm tall and is made from plastic materials. It was sculpted by Nendoron in cooperation with ichinouri. Priced at 10,722 JPY, this Nendoroid was announced during SmileFest 2022 and captures Sanzo's distinctive character design in the beloved chibi format that the Nendoroid line is known for.
