Aniplex and Good Smile Company collaborated on this 1/8 scale Maiko version figure of Kaname Madoka from Gekijouban Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica, the theatrical film adaptation of the beloved magical girl series. The figure depicts Madoka in an elegant maiko apprentice geiko outfit. Kaname Madoka is the central protagonist of the Madoka★Magica series, a story that subverts traditional magical girl tropes by exploring themes of sacrifice, despair, and the true cost of wishes. Madoka is a kind-hearted middle school girl who is offered a contract by the mysterious Kyubey to become a magical girl and fight witches. The film adaptation expands on the television series with enhanced animation and additional narrative depth, following Madoka as she confronts the harsh realities of the magical girl system and ultimately makes a universe-altering decision to protect those she loves. Sculpted collaboratively by Anima, Miyajima Katsuyoshi, and Nakamura Naoto, the figure stands approximately 225mm tall and is made from PVC.
