Our Treasure's Summer Queens line presents Makinami Mari Illustrious from Evangelion Shin Gekijouban in a 1/8 scale Special Color Version. This pre-painted model kit stands approximately 215mm tall and is constructed from ABS and PVC. Originally released on July 31, 2021, it was available as a shop exclusive. Mari Makinami Illustrious is introduced in the Rebuild of Evangelion film series as a confident and somewhat mysterious Eva pilot who joins the fight against the Angels. Unlike the other pilots, Mari approaches battle with enthusiasm rather than psychological burden, wearing her glasses into combat and displaying a fearless, almost reckless piloting style. Her arrival in Evangelion 2.0 adds a new dynamic to the familiar cast, and her role expands significantly through the subsequent Rebuild films. The figure was sculpted by Ousaka Miki and Yoshiyuki Sano. The Special Color Version provides an alternate paint application from the standard Summer Queens release, offering collectors a distinctive variant. As a model kit type product, some assembly may be required despite the pre-painted designation.
