FuRyu's F:Nex line presents a 1/8 scale figure of Hyakkimaru from the 2019 anime adaptation of Dororo, produced by studio MAPPA. This figure captures the wandering samurai in striking detail. Dororo tells the story of Hyakkimaru, a samurai whose body parts were sacrificed to demons by his father at birth. Armed with prosthetic limbs and blades, he journeys across a war-torn Sengoku-era Japan to slay the demons and reclaim his stolen humanity. Along the way, he is accompanied by Dororo, a young orphan thief. The anime explores themes of identity, humanity, and the cost of ambition, with Hyakkimaru's gradual recovery of his senses serving as a powerful narrative device. The figure stands approximately 280mm tall and is made from ABS and PVC. It was sculpted by Design Coco and Hinokiya, and was released in September 2020.
