Nintendo's amiibo line features Black Pit, known as Dark Pit, from the Dairantou Smash Bros. series (Super Smash Bros. for Wii U). This amiibo figure is part of the Super Smash Bros. amiibo collection. Dark Pit originates from Kid Icarus: Uprising and appears as an unlockable newcomer fighter in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, joining series veterans Pit and Palutena. As a darker, more aggressive counterpart to Pit, he mirrors the angelic hero's moveset with distinct variations. The fourth installment of the Smash Bros. franchise was released on Wii U in November 2014, bringing together characters from across Nintendo's catalog and beyond for crossover combat.
