MegaHouse presents the Black Magician from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters as part of their Art Works Monsters line in the -Shukumei no Kettou- edition. This figure captures the iconic spellcaster in a dramatic summoning pose. The Black Magician, known as Dark Magician in English, is the signature monster of Yugi Muto in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters. As one of the most recognizable monsters in the franchise, the Black Magician stood by Yugi through countless duels, serving as his most trusted and powerful ally. The figure's pose is based on the moment of the monster's first summoning, capturing the sharp gaze directed at the opponent. The design features multiple shades of blue with varying metallic and gloss finishes, creating an atmosphere befitting the legendary spellcaster. Sculpted by Kenji Ando, with additional work by Pinpoint and Inui, the figure stands approximately 230mm tall and is made from ABS and PVC. It was released in July 2022 with a retail price of ¥17,380 in Japan. Even less visible areas such as the underside of the armor and fabric received careful detailing.
