Bandai presents Vugsect as part of the Ultra Monster Series (2016) line, bringing the insectoid kaiju from Ultraman Omega to collectors. This figure represents the first on-screen opponent faced by Ultraman Omega in the series. Vugsect are a species of insectoid space kaiju that debuted in the first episode of Ultraman Omega. Their name is a portmanteau of the English words "bug" and "insect." In the series, Ultraman Omega attacked a Genessian fortress hidden on the dark side of the Moon, where he fought off a horde of Vugsect before a larger one appeared. Though initially overpowered, Omega managed to slice off one of the larger Vugsect's scythes with his Omega Slugger before destroying it and the horde with his Reticulute Beam. This Ultra Monster Series release from Bandai includes two soft vinyl figures with no points of articulation, made of PVC. The figure carries catalog number 232 in the Ultra Monster Series (2016) line.
