Bandai adds Deltandal to their Ultra Monster Series (2016) lineup as entry number 203, bringing the kaiju from Ultraman Blazar into collectible form. This figure captures the distinctive triangular design of the Moonlight Kaiju in Bandai's accessible soft vinyl format. Deltandal is a kaiju who first appeared in the fourteenth episode of Ultraman Blazar. Its name is derived from the Greek letter delta, represented by the symbol Δ, which matches the triangular shape of its body. Designed by Kengo Kusunoki, Deltandal was conceived as a modern saucer creature, drawing inspiration from the triangular UFO sightings during the 1989 Belgian UFO wave, while also being portrayed as a descendant of pterosaurs. In the series, Deltandal was initially suspected to be the third wave of space kaiju but was revealed to be a subterranean Earth Kaiju that had awakened and begun moving at hypersonic speeds in low Earth orbit, hiding within cumulonimbus clouds. The shockwaves from its maneuvers caused infrastructural damage worldwide, prompting the SKaRD team to engage it in aerial combat with the Earth Garon mecha. This figure is part of Bandai's long-running Ultra Monster Series, which has been producing kaiju figures since 2016.
