Tian Guan Ci Fu is a beloved Chinese web novel by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu that was adapted into a popular donghua (Chinese animation). The story follows Xie Lian, the Crown Prince of Xian Le who ascends to godhood three times only to be cast down each time, and Hua Cheng, a powerful ghost king known as Crimson Rain Sought Flower who has devoted eight hundred years of unwavering loyalty to Xie Lian.
