Max Factory's figma line presents Kyon from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya as figma number 004 in his School Uniform version. Standing approximately 150mm tall, this articulated figure is made of ABS and PVC and carries the product code 4545784060421. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya follows the story of Kyon, a cynical high school student who gets drawn into the eccentric world of Haruhi Suzumiya, a girl who unknowingly possesses the power to alter reality. Haruhi forms the SOS Brigade, a club dedicated to finding aliens, time travelers, and espers. Kyon serves as the narrator and reluctant voice of reason within the group, which includes an alien, a time traveler, and an esper, all placed near Haruhi to monitor her reality-warping abilities. As one of the earliest figma releases, this figure represents a foundational entry in what would become one of Japan's most popular articulated figure lines. Sculpted by Asai (APSY) Masaki, the figure was originally priced at 2,380 JPY. The figma line was designed with smooth yet posable joints and interchangeable parts for creative display options.
