Qiang Jin Jiu is a Chinese historical danmei novel set in a world of political intrigue and power struggles. Shen Zechuan and Xiao Chiye are the central characters whose complex relationship develops against the backdrop of warring factions and court machinations. The Hong Mei Fu Xue (Red Plum and Floating Snow) version depicts the two characters in a scene evoking the poetic imagery of red plum blossoms against snow.
