Izanagi is the initial Persona of the protagonist in Persona 4, a role-playing game set in the rural town of Inaba where a series of mysterious murders coincides with the appearance of a bizarre midnight television channel. The protagonist and his friends discover they can enter the TV world, where they confront shadow selves and awaken to their Persona abilities. Izanagi, drawn from Japanese mythology, serves as the hero's starting Persona and becomes an iconic symbol of the game, particularly during the memorable first awakening scene where the protagonist confronts his own shadow. The D-Arts figure marked the first time an Izanagi action figure had ever been released. The figure features a full array of weapon accessories and effect parts along with a special display stand. Izanagi's long coat is replicated using soft materials for enhanced realism, while the combination of PVC, POM, and ABS provides durability and a wide range of articulation.
