Good Smile Company brings Mugen from the acclaimed anime Samurai Champloo to their popular Nendoroid line as figure number 2085. This non-scale articulated figure stands approximately 100mm tall and is sculpted by toytec D.T.C with cooperation from Nendoron. Priced at 4,999 USD, it released in September 2023. Samurai Champloo follows the journey of three unlikely companions in an anachronistic Edo-period Japan: the wild and unpredictable swordsman Mugen, the disciplined ronin Jin, and the determined young woman Fuu. Mugen is a fierce fighter from the Ryukyu Islands whose combat style is chaotic and breakdance-inspired, reflecting his free-spirited and rebellious personality. He agrees to help Fuu find the samurai who smells of sunflowers after a chance encounter with Jin leads to their arrest and subsequent escape. The series, directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, blends hip-hop culture with historical samurai action. The Nendoroid includes a stand for display, as the figure does not balance on its own.
