Kaiyodo's KT Project line presents the Revoltech Takeya Kirin in the Iron Rust Tone Edition, the first entry (TK-001) in sculptor Takeya Takayuki's reinterpretation of traditional Japanese Jizai Okimono — articulated figures of mythical creatures and armor. The Kirin, a legendary chimera-like creature from East Asian mythology associated with prosperity and the arrival of sages, is brought to life with modern Revoltech engineering and a distinctive weathered metallic finish. The Revoltech Takeya series draws inspiration from centuries-old Japanese craftsmanship, reimagining classic articulated figures with contemporary articulation technology. The Iron Rust Tone Edition gives the Kirin a aged, oxidized appearance that evokes the patina of ancient bronze artifacts, setting it apart from standard color releases in the line. This figure stands approximately 170mm tall and is constructed from ABS and PVC materials. It was sculpted by Takeya Takayuki and Fukumoto Noritaka, and was released at 6,800 JPY with the product code 4537807120014.
