Kaiyodo's Revoltech line presents EVA-02 in its Gamma configuration from Evangelion Shin Gekijouban: Q (Evangelion 3.0), as part of the Evangelion Evolution series. The figure captures the Evangelion Production Model 02 as it appears in the third Rebuild of Evangelion film, where the story takes a dramatic turn from previous entries. Evangelion 3.0 (Q) picks up 14 years after the events of the second film, with protagonist Shinji Ikari awakening aboard the Wunder, a flying battleship commanded by a now-adult Misato Katsuragi. The world has been devastated, NERV has fallen under the control of Gendo Ikari, and former allies have turned against Shinji. EVA-02, piloted by Asuka Langley Shikinami, undergoes significant changes in this film, including modifications and battle damage sustained during combat operations against NERV forces and the evolving Angel threats.
