Squall Leonhart is the protagonist of Final Fantasy VIII, a stoic and reserved SeeD mercenary who wields a gunblade—a signature weapon combining a sword with a firing mechanism. In Dissidia, Squall represents Final Fantasy VIII among heroes summoned from across the series to fight in the conflict between Cosmos, goddess of harmony, and Chaos, god of discord. Known for his lone-wolf attitude and his iconic limit break "Lion Heart," Squall's character is defined by his gradual transformation from an emotionally distant loner to a leader who learns to rely on his companions.
