Kotobukiya's ARTFX+ line presents Batman from the Gotham by Gaslight graphic novel in an Artist Finish version at 1/10 scale, standing approximately 230mm tall. Sculpted by Abe Junnosuke with inspiration from Mike Mignola's artwork, this ABS and PVC statue was released in July 2018. Gotham by Gaslight is the first entry in DC Comics' Elseworlds series, which places familiar heroes in alternate realities. This story depicts Batman operating in 19th century Gotham City, where he confronts Jack the Ripper in a Victorian-era setting. The graphic novel's watercolor art style and historical atmosphere set it apart from mainstream Batman stories, and the statue specifically draws from Mignola's distinctive visual approach with sharp lines, defined shadows, and pale colors. The Artist Finish version features an alternate head and is designed to resemble the original brushstrokes of the graphic novel's artwork. At 1/10 scale, it can be displayed alongside other ARTFX+ Batman statues for a cohesive historical collection. The vignette-style base reflects the late 19th century setting of the story.
