r/ActionFigures keeps getting the same first-time question. Is BBTS legit. The 2026 thread is long-time buyers, some with twenty years on the site. They get the figure. They get it late, because BBTS takes the slow boat on purpose. r/MarvelLegends says the same about packing and Pile of Loot. A 2024 pre-order thread says they tell you when a factory cancels. They do not vanish with the deposit.

MyFigureCollection lists them since 1999. Sixteen collector reviews on that page. The fight on Reddit is price and wait, not fake goods.

BigBadToyStore is a US retailer. You pay in dollars. You are not waiting on Japan Post. For US collectors that is the whole pitch: domestic shipping, a known box, and a pre-order that does not involve a yen card. The catalog is broader than anime figures. Transformers, statues, and Western lines sit next to Figuarts. Stock is not the full Japanese pre-order slate. A GSC exclusive that AmiAmi has may never appear here, or it appears later at a US MSRP that already baked in import. Pre-orders can delay when the US distributor delays. Packing is a US warehouse carton. Damage claims go through a shop that speaks US customer-service English. If you live outside the US, international shipping and your customs apply, and you often lose the reason to use BBTS at all. Use it when you want a dollar cart and a US label. Do not use it as a cheaper AmiAmi. Write whether the figure was in the US warehouse or still an import pre-order when you clicked buy.
