Banpresto's DXF Figure line presents Jibanyan from Youkai Watch in his 2015 Summer version. Jibanyan is one of the most popular characters from the Youkai Watch franchise, which follows a young boy named Keita who discovers a watch that allows him to see and befriend various yokai. Jibanyan is a cat yokai whose backstory reveals he was once a living cat named Rudy who was tragically killed by a truck while protecting his owner. He now spends his days training to defeat trucks, though he is often distracted by his love of chocolate bars and napping. His endearing personality and emotional backstory made him the breakout star of the series. This 2015 Summer version figure depicts Jibanyan wearing a blue and white inner tube, perfect for summer activities. Made from PVC and standing approximately 160mm tall, it was released on June 16, 2015, as a prize figure distributed through Japanese crane game systems.
