This figure by CCP depicts Gatanozoa, also known as Gatanothor, the final antagonist of Ultraman Tiga. The figure stands approximately 60mm tall. Gatanothor is an ancient evil god referred to as the great darkness by the character Yuzare. Responsible for the annihilation of ancient humans millions of years ago, Gatanothor surfaced from the mythical sunken city of R'lyeh and covered the world in perpetual darkness. The creature's design by Hiroshi Maruyama draws inspiration from nautiluses, ammonites, and depictions of Cthulhu from the Cthulhu Mythos, with a porous shell texture shared by other Ultra-Ancient Kaiju such as Golza and Melba. Its ability to petrify those who view it parallels the Gorgons of Greek mythology. This CCP figure captures the imposing and otherworldly design of one of Ultraman Tiga's most memorable foes.
