This figure represents the robot used by Super GUTS in the Ultraman Dyna series, a show that follows Shin Asuka as the new Ultraman defending Earth. Mountain Gulliver 5, abbreviated as MG-5, has a unique place in Ultraman lore as it only existed within a dream experienced by protagonist Shin Asuka. In this dream sequence, the robot was built by former GUTS member and TPC professor Masami Horii to combat Space Pirate forces attacking Mars. The robot was piloted by Mai and armed with a Spacium Cannon. Designed by Hiroshi Maruyama, the robot features distinctive checkered patterns on its legs, a subtle reference to a cosmetic company where actor Jiro Dan once worked. Despite being a dream-only creation, Mountain Gulliver 5 later appeared as a Spark Doll in Ultraman Ginga, cementing its place in the broader Ultra series continuity.
