McFarlane Toys produced this Kaneki Ken action figure as part of their Color Tops: Green Wave collector program (#20), based on the character from the dark supernatural anime and manga series Tokyo Ghoul. Released in June 2017 with an MSRP of $19.99, the figure stands approximately 7 inches (175mm) tall. Tokyo Ghoul follows Ken Kaneki, a college student who survives a near-fatal encounter with a ghoul only to be transformed into a half-ghoul hybrid. Ghouls are creatures that look human but must consume human flesh to survive. Kaneki struggles to navigate the dangerous ghoul society of Tokyo's wards while retaining his humanity, eventually adopting a black battle outfit and his iconic ghoul mask as he becomes entangled in the conflicts between ghoul factions and the human investigators who hunt them. The figure is sculpted in Kaneki's black battle outfit and includes an alternate unmasked head, allowing display in two distinct looks. Made from PVC, the figure comes with a stylized base and features the detailed sculpting and paintwork characteristic of McFarlane's collector editions.
