Bandai's Super Robot Chogokin line presents Anti-Gurren-Lagann from Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann in its Anti Spiral version. Standing approximately 145mm tall, the figure is constructed from ABS, die cast, and PVC materials. It retailed for 6,090 JPY. Anti-Gurren-Lagann is a mecha created by the Antispiral and controlled by their Messenger, Nia, to protect the inner workings of Cathedral Lazengann in Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann. As its name suggests, it is nearly identical to Gurren Lagann in design but features a striking black, white, and red color scheme. The face on its torso has a more menacing appearance and lacks Gurren's signature sunglasses, while its upper face is covered with a faceplate similar to Enki's. It also omits the Dai-Gurren symbol on its pauldrons. Its drills are longer and more slender than the standard Gurren Lagann, with four of them colored purple. Anti-Gurren-Lagann was originally created by Banpresto for Super Robot Wars Z2: Saisei-hen to provide a proper boss fight at the end of the Antispiral's attack on Earth, playing a role similar to Granzeboma as an Anti-Spiral copy of the protagonist's mech designed to stop them from saving Earth. The figure stands 145mm tall and incorporates ABS, die cast, and PVC construction. The die cast elements provide appropriate heft and metallic feel for the mecha's armored components. As part of the Super Robot Chogokin line, it combines die cast metal parts with precise articulation to capture the dynamic action poses associated with the Gurren Lagann series.
