Volks and Hobby Japan collaborated on the SRX VARIABLE BOX release of the SRX-00 Super Robot X-Type from Super Robot Taisen OG: Original Generations. Sculpted by renowned mecha designer Katoki Hajime and constructed from die-cast metal, this figure was priced at 58,000 JPY. The SRX is the centerpiece of the SRX Project in the Super Robot Wars universe, debuting in Neo Super Robot Wars. It is formed through the Variable Formation — also called Only One Crash — combining three Personal Troopers: R-1, R-2 Powered, and R-3 Powered. The machine is powered by a Tronium Engine and equipped with T-Link Systems that harness the telekinetic abilities of its Psycodriver pilots. The R-Gun Powered can also serve as its weapon, the HTB Cannon. Despite its immense power, the SRX has critical weaknesses: the Tronium Engine risks meltdown at high output, and the frame structure is inherently unstable, requiring constant telekinetic support that places heavy strain on the pilots' minds and bodies. The SRX VARIABLE BOX edition captures this complex combiner mecha in die-cast form.
