Fine Clover presents the Gridman Initial Fighter figure as part of the Strong Style Sofvi Series, based on the anime SSSS.Gridman. SSSS.Gridman is a 2018 anime produced by Trigger that reimagines the 1990s tokusatsu series Gridman the Hyper Agent. The story follows Yuta Hibiki, a high school student who awakens with amnesia in the fictional city of Tsutsujidai, where he encounters the mysterious Gridman inside an old computer. Together with the Neon Genesis Junior High Students, they battle kaiju that threaten to destroy the city. The series blends mecha action with psychological mystery elements, building toward revelations about the true nature of the world. Gridman himself is a hyper agent who merges with Yuta to fight in giant form. The Initial Fighter version was released as a Blu-ray exclusive with a blue color scheme, while a standard version was also available.
