About this figure
Fewture presents Midori from Shoujo Tsubaki in their Wonder Masamitsu figure line. Standing at 180mm tall, this figure captures the young protagonist from one of the most notorious works in the ero guro genre. Shoujo Tsubaki, originally a manga by Suehiro Maruo serialized in Garo magazine from 1983 to 1984, tells the story of Midori, a young girl born into poverty in 1938. After her father abandons the family and her mother dies, Midori is tricked into joining the Red Cat Circus, a freak show where she endures abuse from disfigured performers. Her life changes when Masamitsu, an older man with dwarfism skilled in Western magic, joins the troupe and becomes her protector and lover. The manga is considered a classic of Maruo's 1920s-inspired ero guro style and was adapted into a controversial anime film by Hiroshi Harada in 1992. The figure stands approximately 18 centimeters tall and is produced by Fewture as part of their Wonder Masamitsu series, offering collectors a piece based on this acclaimed and dark work.
