Kaiyodo presents the Ultraman Mega Sofvi figure from the 2022 film Shin Ultraman, a modern reimagining of the classic tokusatsu franchise directed by Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi. This sample version features the first model image color scheme, capturing the hero's iconic silver and red design in impressive detail. Shin Ultraman reimagines the original 1966 series, following the giant alien being who merges with a human host to protect Earth from monstrous threats known as S-Class Species. The film strips away much of the franchise's accumulated mythology, returning to the core concept of a mysterious silver giant appearing to defend humanity. Ultraman's design in this film is notably sleeker and more biomechanical, evoking the aesthetic of the original concept art by Tohl Narushima while incorporating modern sculptural sensibilities. This large-scale soft vinyl figure stands approximately 495mm tall and includes a display base. It is constructed from a combination of PVC, soft vinyl, polyurethane, iron, and magnet components. The figure was released in November 2023 with a retail price of 44,000 yen, and was available through Kaiyodo and various retailers including Hobby Search.
