Yamato's Creators' Labo series presents this 1/6 scale figure of Souryuu Asuka Langley from Neon Genesis Evangelion, reimagined by celebrated illustrator Shunya Yamashita. Standing approximately 250mm tall, the figure is made of ABS and PVC and was sculpted by Yoshizawa Mitsumasa of REFLECT studio, working from Yamashita's original illustration. Neon Genesis Evangelion is a landmark mecha anime set in a post-apocalyptic world where teenager Shinji Ikari is recruited to pilot Evangelion Unit-01 against mysterious beings known as Angels. Asuka Langley is the fiery, competitive pilot of Evangelion Unit-02, a prodigy from Germany whose confident exterior masks deep-seated insecurities and a need for validation. Her complex personality and turbulent relationships with other characters have made her one of anime's most iconic heroines. The figure includes a base and an illustration card. It was initially released in November 2010 at a retail price of 8,800 JPY, with the sculpt credited to both Yamashita Shunya for the design and Yoshizawa Mitsumasa for the sculpting.
