ASCII Corporation presents Froggy, a figure based on the cult classic Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 virtual pet game Seaman. This collectible captures the final frog-like evolutionary stage of the mysterious creature that players raise throughout the game. Seaman is a 1999 virtual pet simulation game developed by Vivarium and designed by Yoot Saito. Players are tasked with raising fish-like creatures with human faces, conversing with them through a microphone accessory as they progress through various stages of development. The creature begins as a parasitic Mushroomer before evolving through multiple life stages, eventually transforming into the frog-like form depicted by this figure. The game became the third best-selling Dreamcast title in Japan and developed a cult following overseas thanks to its dark humor, bizarre aesthetics, and innovative voice-interaction gameplay. ASCII Entertainment published the PlayStation 2 version, titled Seaman: Kindan no Pet - Gaze Hakushi no Jikken Shima, in Japan in 2001.
