Standing approximately 190mm tall, this figure offers a unique artistic interpretation of the world's most famous virtual singer. Hatsune Miku is a virtual singer developed by Crypton Future Media, first released in August 2007 for the VOCALOID2 engine as the first member of the Character Vocal Series. Her name combines the Japanese words for "first," "sound," and "future," meaning "the first sound from the future." Voiced by Saki Fujita, Miku was conceived as an android diva in a near-future world where songs have been lost. She has since become a global cultural phenomenon, inspiring countless original songs, artwork, and creative works through a chain of peer production among individual creators. In 2019, Crypton announced that Miku and other Piapro Characters would depart from VOCALOID in favor of their own Piapro Studio NT engine.
